hi i'm jen fidel founder of the pack mom
and this is how to make a moisturizing
dog shampoo so there are many good
reasons to make your own moisturizing
dog shampoo at your house you will save
money probably first and foremost you
can save the environment and you will
know exactly what ingredients are going
into your dog shampoo so if you have an
itchy scratchy dog this might just be a
lifesaver when you make your own shampoo
you need to keep in mind your dog's skin
ph a normal dog's skin pH is anywhere
between six and eight point five and
today the shampoo we're going to make
falls in the range of about seven to
eight so it's kind of in that middle
range so let's get started
we're going to start with four cups of
hot water one two three four one cup of
vinegar I'm choosing apple cider vinegar
that has a lot of good elements for a
dog's coat so one cup of vinegar three
tablespoons of unscented liquid castile
soap this is our base so we've got some
acidity we've got some alkalinity making
that pH where we want it now we're going
to add one tablespoon of coconut oil you
need some kind of fatty acid or butter
to really get into that hair shaft and
moisturize your dog's coat and I'm going
to add a couple of drops of lavender oil
this will not only calm my dog but it
helps with itching and scratching and
will make him smell delicious
and now I've chosen to have a spray
bottle for my dog shampoo so I'm going
to put a funnel on top and pour my
homemade moisturizing dog shampoo right
inside alright so now we have it one
homemade moisturizing dog shampoo
complete I just need to grab a bin Chico
and throw them in the tub I'm Jen Fidel
thanks for watching and that's how you
make homemade moisturizing dog shampoo
you
